Good books, slow delivery

I've only done ZaZa's for a year now, but I chose it because their books felt a bit more broadly 'inclusive' beyond just gender focus, if that makes sense? Like, lots of different cultures and family structures. My kid loves the activity sheets too.

Little Feminist is good, but ZaZa's books felt a bit more curated for early years development and the toys they include sometimes are really thoughtful. I think ZaZa's just has a bit more variety in themes, from what I've seen of both.

I don't think you can return individual books, no. It's a subscription box, so it's more of a curated surprise. If you get a duplicate, maybe regift it? Or donate to a local library.

Yeah, pretty sure returns aren't a thing for the books themselves unless something's actually damaged. That's kinda the deal with these boxes, you get what they send. You can always pause or cancel your subscription though if it's not working out.

So ZaZa's is a UK company, right? I'd probably factor in a good 2-3 weeks for international shipping. Maybe even more with customs sometimes. Birthday might be tight if it's super soon.

Yeah, they definitely ship from the UK. Mine took about 10 days to get to California last time, but that was pre-holiday rush. I'd order with plenty of buffer time.

My kid is turning 5 soon, but I want to get the 'preschooler' box. Is it adaptable? Like, will the books still be good for a slightly older kid, or is it strictly 3-4?

Nah, it's not super strict. I got the preschooler box for my 4.5 year old and the books were definitely engaging enough. Plus, they curate them to age, so as your kid gets older, the books will naturally progress a bit within that bracket.

It's generally pretty spot on for the age ranges, but for a 5-year-old, the preschooler box might be on the easier side. You could always try it for a month and see, or maybe look at the next age up if they offer one close to 5-6.
